In 2007, for S&P 500 firms reporting two years of data under the new SEC disclosure rules, the median accumulated CEO pension benefit jumped to $6.1 million, a 29.5% increase. At these firms, the median deferred pay plan balance soared 54.3% to $4.5 million. |
